Dave Venn Trio with special guest Jeanne Trevor

Dave Venn-1

Two St. Louis legends, one magical evening.

A St. Louis native, Dave Venn began his professional music career as a tenor saxophonist.  In the 1960s the St. Louis jazz scene was flourishing in places like Gaslight Square, The Playboy Club, and the DeBaliviere area. With more opportunities for pianists than saxophonists, Venn made the switch to piano, and has been named the “Best Local Pianist/Keyboardist” by the Riverfront Times.

Originally from New York,  vocalist Jeanne Trevor has been a fixture on the St. Louis jazz scene since the early 1960s. The versatile Trevor doesn’t categorize herself as a jazz singer; she prefers to describe herself as a “modern American singer.”
