“The finest big band in the world today.”Daily Telegraph [UK]

“One rarely hears this music played with such technical brilliance, stylistic authenticity and tonal sheen…Here were the throaty reeds, percussive trumpet blasts and visceral sense of swing that have made the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra the greatest large jazz ensemble working today.” – The Chicago Tribune

Wynton MarsalisThe Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (JLCO) is composed of 15 of jazz music’s leading soloists and ensemble players under the leadership of musical director and trumpeter Wynton Marsalis. Drawing from an extensive repertoire that includes original compositions by Marsalis, Ted Nash, and other members of the orchestra, as well as the masterworks of Ellington, Basie, Mingus, Coltrane, and other great jazz composers, JLCO concerts are internationally critically-acclaimed. Help us celebrate the grand opening of The Harold & Dorothy Steward Center for Jazz with the world’s premier jazz ensemble in the highly-intimate setting of the new and improved Ferring Jazz Bistro.
