Jeremy Davenport

Exclusively Sponsored by John & Alison Ferring

“Cool and charming, [Davenport] blends a New Orleans musical influence with classic jazz and songwriting, like if Sinatra had been raised in New Orleans.” goNOLA.com

Jeremy Davenport infuses his unique style of storytelling with his original lyrics and music, creating not only a modern edge, but also a feeling reminiscent of the time when jazz was at its peak of popularity.

A St. Louis native, Davenport was born into a family of musicians. His mother has been a music educator for 50 years and his father recently retired, after 40 years, from the St. Louis Symphony. From a young age, Davenport studied and played with members and guests of the Symphony, which included an early introduction to jazz great Wynton Marsalis. He eventually went on to play with Harry Connick, Jr.’s big band for six years.
Davenport now tours the world, plays regularly in New Orleans, and returns home annually for this Thanksgiving tradition at Jazz at the Bistro.
