“Miller is a sophisticated musical thinker as well as a finger-busting virtuoso…” The Guardian (London)

Marcus Miller – a two-time GRAMMY Award winner and UNESCO Artist for Peace – is not only an exceptional multi-instrumentalist and world-renowned bassist – but also a highly-gifted composer and producer. The legendary Tutu album he wrote and produced for Miles Davis sealed his international fame when Miller was only twenty-five. Since then he has continued collaborating with artists as varied and talented as Eric Clapton, George Benson, Luther Vandross, Roberta Flack, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Jay-Z, Wayne Shorter, Al Jarreau, Stanley Clarke, George Duke, Brian Ferry and Herbie Hancock (to name only a few).

Miller made his debut for Blue Note Records on March 17, 2015 with the release of his new album, Afrodeezia, which was inspired by his role as a UNESCO Artist For Peace and spokesperson for the organization’s Slave Route Project.

Caught the 9:30 show last night and I have waited a long time to see Marcus Miller and WOW!! His Bass makes sounds that should not be able to come from a Bass. The show was excellent and this was also my first time coming to an event here but will not be the last. May actually buy a ticket for tonight’s show to see Mr. Miller again.!! Great venue, will have to try food next time. For anyone in Jazz and musicians, Mr Miller is an ICON bar none. You feel like his Bass is sending a message to your soul and your soul is enjoying a experience of a life time.

Marcus Miller is one of the greatest BASS players of all times. His range of jazz to funk to contemporary jazz is outstanding. I have heard him in LA, NY and St. Louis and the consistency in the music is paramount. His playing the bass clarinet is the epitome of BASS dome. I can’t wait to hear him in St. Louis next week. I’ve seen him perform with George Duke, Lala Hathaway, and many others….
