We are pleased to announce auditions for the 2014-15 JazzU program, which will take place June 2-5, 2014.
Made possible by a lead contribution from Monsanto Fund with support from the Arthur & Helen Baer Foundation and Ameren Missouri, JazzU places talented middle and high school musicians in small jazz combos, which meet weekly between September and May. This competitive program selected 60 emerging musicians from a pool of nearly 115 who auditioned for the 2013-14 season. JazzU meets weekly beginning in the fall of each year
Applications must be postmarked by Friday, May 2, 2014. Once the application materials have been received, students will be assigned an audition time on the date which corresponds with the applicant’s instrument (see below). Audition times will be sent via standard US mail.
Monday, June 2 – saxophones
Tuesday, June 3 – trumpets and trombones
Wednesday, June 4 – rhythm section
Thursday, June 5 – rhythm section
Results of the auditions will be announced during the first part of July.
